Putting the SPLASH in City Splash
This May bank holiday ACLT was joined by reggae, dance hall and afrobeat lovers as we danced through the pouring rain. Your determination to have a good time, was much like ACLT’s to get you signed up to be part of the donor registers. City Splash is a 30,000 festival that celebrates the impact of Caribbean and African culture in the UK and beyond; from the heritage of Roots, Dub and Dancehall to the birth of Jungle and Garage, right up to showcasing the most up-and-coming talent for today.
Reggae, Dancehall and Afrobeats influence on youth culture in London runs deep, the genres’ heartbeat rhythm and lyrics about love, redemption and natural living deeply affect fashions, lifestyles, friendships and unify strangers internationally. They believe such important genres, both musically and socially, deserve to be championed.
Here is a little glimpse of City Splash on the day…
At City Splash we managed to register a total of 86 donors - that is 86 people that could potentially go on to save someone's life. It may not be today but it can give someone a tomorrow.
