Position: Fundraising Manager
Location: Hybrid/Croydon working – Home-based working available, but primarily office based in Croydon
Salary: starting at £34,000/yr – £38,000/yr
Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Manager to become a key and vital member of a small, friendly, but groundbreaking charity.
About the role:
Over the last 2 years, ACLT has raised approximately £450K-£530K annually and now wants to increase its income by over 100% by 2025. The role of Fundraising Manager will be exciting and varied; supported by the Chief Executive and National Development Manager, and you will have responsibility for generating income from
Corporate Partnerships, Trusts & Foundations, Events and Individual Giving.
The Fundraising Manager will be a key active participant in making strategic decisions on behalf of the charity. This is a great opportunity to work in an innovative and transformative charity that makes a real difference and saves lives in the UK and worldwide.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Work with the team to exceed the annual income budget
- Manage and grow the profile and portfolio of fundraising events
- Account manage new Corporate relationships
- Manage and grow Individual Giving plus Trusts & Foundations income
- Work with the Marketing/PR and National Development teams to create successful campaigns to increase engagement and fundraising
About you:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Proven track record of successfully managing a charity’s corporate fundraising, fundraising events, and individual giving
- Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in using a fundraising or marketing and sales database, plus creating analysis fundraising reports
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong project and people management skills
- Developing partnerships and relationships with companies to win new business and generate sustainable income for ACLT
- Identifying and researching potential corporate & other income streams
- Create and write highly compelling proposals, and take an active role in contributing to the fundraising plans and strategy for ACLT
- Achieve agreed fundraising targets and KPIs
- Plan and deliver impactful and engaging supporter events including our annual Gift of Life Fundraising Gala and 5K Daniel De-Gale Run
- Work closely with ACLT’s Marketing/PR and Social Media teams to develop key messages and choose appropriate channels to maximise opportunities to communicate with stakeholders and potential new Corporate supporters and ensure that ACLT is well recognised locally, regionally and nationally as a high-impact, bespoke charity in need of funding for its lifesaving work.
