Meet Astrid…

Astrid has been diagnosed with a particularly severe form of blood cancer; Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML).

Astrid is of Nigerian German heritage and urgently needs an European-African stem cell donor who can help save her life so she can continue to be there for her children, husband and close friends.

In Astrid’s words:

“Given the advanced nature of the disease, every day, every hour, every minute counts.”

If you are of mixed heritage from West Africa, ideally Nigeria from the Igbo tribe and also from Europe, YOU could potential help save Astrid’s life by donating your stem cells.

By making the decision to become a potential lifesaver through stem cell donation, you offer hope and a healthy future to someone like Astrid, living with blood cancer.

Stem cell donation is race specific which means there a greater chance of an unrelated match being found if the patient and donor are from the same ethnic background.
