This Thursday, Beverley and Orin will be in conversation with the talented television presenter and wheelchair basketball Paralympian Ade Adepitan MBE – live on Instagram! Yes, we will be live on a different platform, (more on this later), but for now, let’s get back to waxing lyrical on our wonderful guest!

Ade is an accomplished wheelchair basketball player and is a member of the Great Britain team that won the bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens and the gold medal at the 2005 Paralympic World Cup in Manchester.

Ade has also featured on many television programmes as an actor, (which we were surprised to learn!), children’s book author and presenter. You will also recognise him for his many documentaries, his work with Children In Need, multiple travel shows and presenting the Invictus Games – he has packed in a lot in his career and we’re excited to have Beverley and Orin discussing all of this and more, as well as what he has planned in the future.

As someone who contracted polio as a child which led to the loss of use of his left leg, Beverley and Orin will undoubtedly touch on his own health story and how it has impacted his life.

As mentioned at the start of the newsletter, things will be switching up this week with the conversation taking place on Instagram Live. If you are on Instagram and you’re not following us yet on @acltcharity, (errrr why?!). We will forgive you this time… just make sure you’re following us from today so you can catch our chat this Thursday with Ade from 7pm!

Wishing you all a fabulous week ahead and we’ll see you in the comments on Thursday!

OUR GUEST NEXT WEEK will be Audrey Indome, one third of The Receipts Podcast. We are super excited to get chatting with Audrey – don’t miss it!

P.S. If you missed last week’s episode with Ace, no worries. Click here to listen.
