May 20th, 2021 will mark a year since the law surrounding organ donation changed for all adults in England.
Currently, if you are over the age of 18 years old, for the last 12 months, you would have been considered to have agreed to be an organ donor when you die unless you have recorded a decision not to donate or you are in one of the excluded groups.
Since the change in law, the number of ‘opt-outs’ from the UK public, have been significant, with people from the ethnic minority community taking the lead.
YOU’RE INVITED
To mark the one-year anniversary of the law change, ACLT will be hosting a FREE live webinar, engaging in a real honest conversation surrounding organ donation and the hesitancy within the black community to donate organs in the event of their death.
