I AM...
When you get your blood cancer diagnosis, it can feel like your whole life is now defined by it. Everything you do, you have to think about how this will now affect you.
This could be something new to you and your family and it can be hard to know what support it is you need and how they can give it to you. Sometimes you don’t even want to think about it and just enjoy the things you used to, without worry.
ACLT understand this, and that is why we wanted to form a peer-to-peer support group that is defined by YOU, as a blood cancer patient. With a group, you will decide what this looks like and ACLT will help facilitate this.
It doesn’t have to be about sitting around in a circle and talking about your experience (unless that is what you want) but it could be about bonding over your passions or different ways you are choosing to heal – because you are
not defined by cancer!
You joined us at our Spring Soiree...
We invited blood cancer patients to join us for a night of entertainment, food and fun. The room was filled with familiar and new faces. We brought blood cancer patients together to show them that they are not defined by cancer – this is in the run-up to the ACLT creating a support group defined by YOU. Here are some snapshots of those magical moments on the night…
