We’re happy to share #TEAMACLT will return to Notting Hill Carnival this weekend to register revellers attending Europe’s biggest street festival.
On Sunday 27th August, ACLT will register people of all ethnicities aged 17-55 years old who are in good health onto the stem cell register via the DKMS (Delete Blood Cancer) registration process. Joining the register is simple. Registrants will be required to complete a short form and provide a cheek swab and then be on their merry way to soak up the carnival vibes!
We will also be registering people onto the blood and organ donor registers. Just ask one of our volunteers who will be happy to help!
Joining the stem cell register takes less than 20 minutes to complete. Taking time out on Sunday to join will enable ACLT to find more potential lifesaving donors; thus, helping to change the lives of people living with blood cancer, or a life-threatening condition where a stem cell transplant is required to save the life of someone in need.
So get your comfy shoes on, your carnival outfit, whistle and other carnival essentials, and get dancing down to the ACLT stand located on the corner of Ladbroke Grove and Lancaster Road!
Make sure to take a pic of yourselves and our team on the day and post on social media tagging @acltcharity #ACLTatNottingHill
