ACLT co-founder and Chief Executive, Orin Lewis, joined over 38,000 runners to participate in the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 24 April 2016.
A tremendous effort on his part, he completed the 26.2 miles in 5 hours 57 seconds. #TEAMACLT are so incredibly proud of him!
Orin’s run was dedicated to the memory of his sadly departed (step) son Daniel De-Gale, the inspiration behind ACLT. His run was also to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the lifesaving work of the ACLT with an aim to raise £20,000.
Orin said: “What an experience of a lifetime! I ran the Virgin London Marathon all the way. Despite the aches and pains it was all worth it, as it was in memory of my son Daniel and in celebration of ACLT’s 20th anniversary. I still need to reach my fundraising target of £20,000, so please continue to support me by making a donation. Thank you.”
ACLT also received support from an additional four runners who were each raising funds for the charity.
Orin adds: “A huge thank you to our #RunACLTRun team; which included Kimberley Adjei, Abby Alexander, Paul McFarlane and Conroy Barnett. It’s been fantastic to have you support our lifesaving work. Thank you so much for your efforts – you all should be extremely proud.”
