Saturday 16th July 2016 saw the anniversary party to celebrate 20 years of ACLT.
Over 300 supporters with a mix of personalities from the UK’s entertainment industry attended the event, hosted at Slug & Lettuce, St Mary’s Axe.
The evening event sponsored by Sackville Travel and Jamaica National Bank was hosted by comedian Kojo and included performances by spoken word artist and ACLT Celebrity Ambassador George the Poet with comedy from long term supporter Slim the Comedian. DJ’s on the night included Manny Norte, Abrantee, Trevor Nelson, Fifth Avenue, Mr Play and Ronnie C and celebrity attendees included Chizzy Akudolu, Brenda Emmanus, Eddie Nestor, Tony Marshall and more.
The night also included spoken word from Mark Thompson, the husband of leukaemia survivor Sarah Thompson who received patient support from ACLT during her diagnosis in May 2004.
A silent auction and raffle took place on the night and included prizes such as Kyle Walker Signed Football boots, 2x Chelsea FC vs. West Ham Premier League tickets, with the bonus raffle prize of the night; 2x flight to any Caribbean Island donated by event sponsors Sackville Travel.
The night raised over £4,000 for the charity.
